Description
Here's a different one , a seabird with attitude? Looks a little bit menacing maybe ? This is a Razorbill, similar to the Puffin, a seabird that only comes ashore once a year to breed and remains at sea for the rest of the year. We didn't see many of them during a recent visit to Cape St Mary's , where there's a smallish colony of them nesting. with the Northern Gannets and Common Murres...Razorbills are monogamous and will only have one partner during their lives. We visited during a foggy day, interestingly warm and sunny until we arrived at the coast where a thick fog enveloped the breeding site, a relatively normal occurrence.
